Keziah Design
April 3, 2009

“The name Keziah is a Hebrew word. It describes a tree that has aromatic bark or berries. This “spice” tree produces berries that have a sweet smell. Birds often pick these pure berries for a delicious treat.
Keziah Design can be summed up in three words – fresh, relevant and creative.
What I do and how I am different!
Anyone can make a logo or design, but not everyone can make creativity relevant to your specific needs. Simply stated, it takes a partnership and collaborative, creative thinking. I bring ideas that are unexpected and fresh.“
Hey everyone, I just wanted to highlight a little design company I’ve been working with for over a year now. My good friend Dave Butler is the owner of Keziah Design and he has helped Retread with all of our branding. He’s currently working with us to develop a logo and membership card for our Jubilee Kids Club and he’s also helping me with the design and branding for the personal photography business I’ve started.
The reason I continue to go back to Keziah Design when I need something designed is because of the personal hands on relationship that’s formed between Dave and any person he’s working with. He cares about what you want and will work with you until YOU are satisfied! So, go over and check out their website today!
Especially his illustrations! If you’re looking for someone to illustrate the children’s book you just wrote, Dave’s your guy!!!

I’ve been putting off going to the zoo with my family for years, because it’s just not one of my favorite things to do. I grew up on a farm so I got to see plenty of animals and smell plenty of crap, so why would I want to go to the zoo? Last Friday during spring break I finally gave in and took off work to take my wife and son along with my brother and his family to the Fort Worth zoo. It was a really great time and I walked away with a clasic picture. Definitely worth the day!
Today you get to help me have a little fun.

Friday’s Theme | Friends
November 28, 2008
I’ve had an amazing day today. One could call it a perfect ending to a great week. Spending time having coffee with friends, chatting, and seeing a friend I didn’t expect to see was such a wonderful surprise.
I sat around a table at a new coffee house talking to my friend Carl and reminiscing about our high school days. We were a little rowdy at times, but typical for teens. I’m sure most would consider me very straight laced, but there were a few things I did I’m sure others would be surprised about.
A special treat today was when a young lady walked in that we hadn’t seen for almost 20 years. Her name is Lona and she sat down and visited with us for a while. She shared with us her amazing testimony of how God has redeemed her life, rescued her from drug addiction, and how she now has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She’s traveling now, speaking to youth and women and answering some pretty tough questions about her past, but it’s absolutely a beautiful story about God’s grace and love.
I’m a blessed person today for having the opportunity to sit and talk with Lona. I pray God that you will use Lona to continue as an active participant in your kingdom restoration. May you fill her life with love and protect her as she shares your love for your children. Amen!
Traditions | Halloween
October 31, 2008
We have had a great evening tonight. It has become a tradition for us to spend Halloween in our neighborhood Trick-or-Treating with our neighbors. Everyone really participates and people sit outside in front of their houses and hand out candy. It’s great getting to see all the kids dressed up in their costumes and groups of families walking the neighborhood together. It’s really a great time and growing more and more fun every year.
As I sat and enjoyed the evening, I couldn’t help but think of all the traditions we have. Visiting pumpkin patches, carving pumpkins, watching Charlie Brown, and treating with the neighbors. It really makes for a great time and feels like community.
I’ll leave you with a few of my favorite pictures from this year’s Halloween traditions and would love to hear about any you might have, that we can add to our list next year! Happy Halloween!
