What’s the Deal

July 11, 2008

What’s the deal with people and flashing lights.  Give me a break, not literally, but that’s what everyone does.  I can’t understand the fascination that adults have with flashing lights.  It doesn’t even have to be a police car, fire truck, or ambulance attending an accident scene.  Traffic in our city will come to a grinding stop over a simple HOV lane attendant with flashing lights on the top of his pickup.

Today I’m calling for a big healthy dose of “Grow UP!”  Stop making everyone late for work and causing misery for those of us who are mature enough to keep the foot on the gas when flashing lights catch our eye.

If you’re the type that loves to slow down in hopes of seeing something amazing at every flashing light, I’d love to hear from you and know the fascination behind it.  If you’re like me and would prefer to just hammer down, feel free to give me a shout out as well.

Peace!

bad drive to work today babe! TGIF!!

  2. Not really a bad drive, just frustrating that two days in a row, people have instituted their rubber necks and caused unnecessary delays, so I needed to vent. :)

I have a major fascination with flashing light…but everything else that goes with that too. I figured the only way I could ‘cure’ this would be to become a paramedic :-)

  5. Very funny! Thanks for the comment and I hope thats working out for you…being a paramedic that is! :)
