Twitter Snobs
January 26, 2008

Are you a Twitter Snob? If you haven’t heard of Twitter then you probably won’t care much about this post. Twitter is a micro-blog site where people can post “What they are doing?”…In less than 140 characters. Sometimes that can be a big challenge as I tend to be a little long winded.
So, I’ve been Twittering for several months now and I’m up to 102 posts as of a few minutes ago. I’m following 8 people and 2 people are following me. I can’t say Twitter has consumed my time, but I enjoy sharing an occasional thought. I especially enjoy reading other people’s comments. Some comments are actually changing the way I view things. It’s like I’m constantly micro-blogging in my head where ever I go. Always looking for or thinking of something that others would appreciate if I were to Twitter it.
However, there’s a part of me that feels there is either a flaw in the micro-blog process or I just don’t get it. For me it’s more about experiencing what others say then about what I’m saying. Maybe others don’t feel that way about Twitter and maybe that’s why only 2 people are following me. (And I’m not totally sure “they” even care what I’m saying.)
Or could it be that people are just Twitter snobs? Maybe they just care more about being heard then they do about hearing others. Either way, I’m going to continue to Twitter and I’m going to continue to search for other interesting people to follow.
If you’re not Twittering, maybe you should click on this TWITTER link and sign up now. Maybe you’ll find someone to follow that will bring a smile to your face at some point during your day. If they do, then it’s probably worth your time. And if you’re looking for a Twitter friend to follow, then you can always search for me Twitter: KyleStickens.
Would love to hear what you think about Twitter and mirco-blogging and if I have it all wrong you’re welcome to let me know that too!

just because us divas don’t follow, doesn’t mean we don’t read
